Walk is a Lifestyle APP for dog owners to monitor everything from their dogs’ exercise to poop habits as well as to have walking routes recommended.

1.0 RESEARCH

1.1 QUANTITATIVE: SURVEY

In order to better understand dog owner’s lifestyles and pain points during their dog walking experience, we conducted online survey and gathered 35 responses within 2 days.

When asked what caused the unsatisfied dog walking experience, 81.8 percentage think taking the same routes all the time cause the boredom.

People also find it difficult to find up-to-date dog friendly public space to go to.

1.2 QUALITATIVE RESEARCH

We also gathered qualitative information from online platforms including Reddit, Facebook, as well as friend interviews to determine specific dog owners’ needs. Click the button to see our detail report.

Socialize with nearby dog neighbors.

3.IDEATION

3.1 INITIAL USER FLOW

Option1:
Require users to input detailed information in the registration process including dog’s username, breed, size as well as user’s name.

Option2:
Simplify the input details to only necessary information.

Final Decision:
Add one more optional page for users to decide the level of information they would like to input.

Pros: Clear and concise
Cons: Profile tab mixes the social page and the personal page together, leaving the social feature less visible.

Four tabs including ‘Walk’,  ‘Map’, ‘Social’, as well as ‘Personal.’

4.0 FINAL DELIVERY

Route Management: recommendation, tracking as well as statistics.

Explore: Search for a place to go to based on category eg. dog park, cafe, restaurant.

Social: Check out nearby ‘dog friends’ posts.

Personal: Create your dog’s unique photo diary.
